    Hi,

In our workplace we have Direct Access in use for wireless network. When working in wireless network, MapInfo can't connect to the license server. Direct Access supports IPv6 and MapInfo only IPv4. Could this support for IPv6 be added to MapInfo in the future? Other option for using MapInfo in wireless network would be a borrowable or distributable license.

Is it possible to update this so that live reports/queries can be created?

We would like to search on the Notes field in the tables tab, geoset permissions – which role and users have access to what, permissions by table, permissions by user – what tables, geosets, roles and owned tables each user has, and a search on any table in the database, quite often just to find what the friendly name is set as so it can easily be found in the admin console.

It would be much more useful than the existing static reports. Perhaps also to add simple SQL build functionality eg check number of rows in tables, column headings, table name like...., what tables are loaded by a particular schema etc...

    Thanks
    Andrew

Scheduling AutoDelivery to run overnight is great.  Unfortunately, since my computer was upgraded to Windows 7, I have unable to use AutoDelivery, either manually or as a scheduled task.

Please write and make available a Windows 7 compatible version of AutoDelivery.

Using the New Event wizard, we created a new event by plotting a polygon around a street (E.g. Vicarage Road) using the 'region' tool to pick up roads affected around a particular stadium.
The notice finalised but to Aynho St rather than Vicarage Road. The system seems to pick the first street from the selection based on the first street in alphabetical order.

We would like to be able to select the road we want the event noticed to as many events affect several roads.  We would like the ability to choose one of the roads from the list displayed from the roads identified in the region selection.

When we need index on columns of big published tables, the only option is to utilize downloaded tables and updating them by scheduled .mbxes.
So the indexing on published tables would save extra administration (scheduled tasks, .mbx)

    1)            Oneway attribute values should be changeable via updates (e.g. Start/Arrive in a given direction)
    2)            4th Oneway attribute value "closed" which is changeable via updates
    3)            Global closing of road types or free definable road sets (e.g. don't use highways)

Incorporate the following algorithm into a PBS analytical tool - such as Engage Analystics, (Crime) Profiler, Stratus Analyst or Portrait:
    http://ncg.nuim.ie/ncg/GWR/index.htm

Note that this algorithm was incorporated into the ESRI suite in ArcGIS v9.3 and is being used as a differentiator with customers.
    http://webhelp.esri.com/arcgisdesktop/9.3/index.cfm?TopicName=Geographically%20Weighted%20Regression%20%28Spatial%20Statistics%29

    Example models:
    1) Predicting crime from a demographic perspective - population + income + unemployment rate
    2) Forecast of fish stocks or catch per unit of effort for trawlers
    3) Understanding the impact of government pilot programmes or marketing initiatives in a particular area (e.g. using GWR with Portrait uplift modelling)

As a geophysical service company, we use Profile Analyst frequently for gridding and display of datasets. Often it is most useful for ourselves and our clients to be able to view the data (either grids or surveyed line paths) in Google Earth. I would love to see the inclusion of an export or conversion utility for grids/line paths/maps to produce kmz files.

It is fairly routine across the IT industry to automate the installation and removal of software from workstations and servers. Achieving the ability to do this requires that silent (non-interactive) install scripts for the software involved be created. At this time, Pitney Bowes does not  provide instructions for creating silent install scripts, or support for licensees who are developing them.

The remedial action customers need from Pitney Bowes is of three parts:
    1) enable silent installs specifically in their setup programs
    2) provide documentation for how to take advantage of the silent instalation in the install guides distributed to customers
    3) provide support for the customers in the event that they encounter problems as they build and test the silnet install scripts.

    Please "vote up" this idea.

When locating a defect on the mobile device there it would be nice to see when you return to the defect screen that you this defect has a location. This could be as simple as showing the eastings and northings on the defect.

Within the Confirm host software users can set Entity History to record changes to feature attributes.
Nottinghamshire County Council have implemented the recording of electrical test results of street lighting assets on PDA devices using Confirm FBI.

As part of this, testing staff can review and amend feature attributes onsite. However, any changes done on the PDA are not recorded in the Entity History report - hence you don't that something has been changed or when. Clearly the facility to amend attributes on site allows data to be maintained easily and at source, but it is felt important that this changes can be tracked in case there is problems with the data changes.

Apparently this has been desinated a product enhancement, I personally think this should be standard.

When a street works activity contains a road closure, the code of practice states that this activity is "major". Confirm does not pick up the traffic management of a permit when determining it's works type, only the start and finish dates. Therefore, if the activity is less than 11 days duration and includes a road closure, the activity type is incorrect.

Would it be possible for Confirm to automatically default the work type to "Major" if the user specifies a Traffic Management of 'Road Closure'.

We can only use 999 positions in our match Gens.  Can you enhance the product so we can use 9999 positions please?  Our standard layout is at 1100 right now.  We don't have much filler for our Gen data.  If you'd like to to test some new logic, let me know.  Thanks!!
